What Is Churn Rate and How Do You Calculate It?
Churn rate is the share of customers you started a period with who left during it: customers lost divided by customers at the start, times 100. Retention is its mirror (100 minus churn), and the average customer lifetime it implies is 1 divided by the churn rate.
