Short answer: if you are buying hosting anyway, buy it through a referral link in this guide and you save 20% on the plan — I earn a 20% commission from Hostinger, and it costs you nothing extra. This website itself runs on Hostinger, so this is the host I use and recommend to clients. Below is every plan I can refer, compared honestly: what each one is for, what stands out, where the catches are, and a referral link for each — pick the plan that fits, and the saving applies in the cart.

Full disclosure, up front

Every Hostinger link in this article is my referral link. You save 20% on the plan; Hostinger pays me a 20% commission out of their side, never added to your bill. Prices quoted are Hostinger's introductory rates on long terms (checked October 2026) and renew at higher standard prices — I flag renewal honestly wherever a price appears. If a recommendation here does not fit your project, do not buy it; the advice sections explain who should skip each plan, too.

The 30-second version

  • First website or blog: the first-website bundle (Premium hosting + business email + email marketing) or straight web hosting.
  • Growing business site or WooCommerce shop: Cloud Professional — more power, daily backups, dedicated IP.
  • Freelancer or agency with client sites: Agency Hosting, built for isolated client environments.
  • Developer who wants the whole server: VPS KVM 2, or Docker hosting for containerised apps.
  • Only need email or marketing: Business email and Reach are sold separately — you do not need hosting to use them.

How the 20% referral saving works

Hostinger's referral program is simple, and both sides win — which is exactly why I am comfortable putting it on my own site:

  1. You click a referral link in this guide — the general one is hostinger.com with my referral code, and each plan below has its own link that opens the cart with that plan already inside.
  2. You buy the plan that fits — the cart shows your 20% referral saving before you pay. If the saving is not visible, do not check out; close the tab and come back through the link.
  3. Hostinger pays me 20% as a thank-you for the referral. Your price is the discounted one either way — the commission is not added on top.

Every plan also sits under Hostinger's standard terms, including the 30-day money-back guarantee on hosting — so a wrong pick is correctable, not a trap.

Introductory monthly prices on the longest terms, from Hostinger's published pricing (checked October 2026), before your 20% referral saving. Plans renew at higher standard rates — the honest detail is in the catches section below.

Web hosting: where most websites should start

Hostinger's web hosting is the plan family this very site runs on. The tiers step up in power: Premium (from about $2.99/month introductory) covers a first site or two with a free domain for a year, free SSL and weekly backups; Business (from about $3.99/month) is the practical sweet spot — dozens of websites, faster NVMe storage, daily backups, a free CDN and more mailboxes per site. Every tier includes free migration if you are moving an existing site, the AI website builder, and one-click WordPress with managed updates.

Two ways to buy it here: web hosting on its own if email is already sorted, or web hosting bundled with premium business email if you want your domain email handled in the same purchase — for most new businesses, the bundle is the tidier start.

Cloud hosting: when the site outgrows shared

Cloud hosting keeps the friendly control panel but gives your site its own reserved resources, so a traffic spike or a busy WooCommerce checkout does not fight neighbours for power. Cloud Startup (from about $7.99/month introductory) suits busy shops; the plan I can refer directly is Cloud Professional — a step up again with around 200 GB of NVMe storage, roughly double the PHP workers, a dedicated IP address, daily backups and priority support, with premium business email included in this cart. If your site earns money and slowdowns cost sales, this is the tier I point clients at.

VPS KVM 2: the whole server, your rules

A VPS is a slice of a physical server that behaves like your own machine: full root access, your choice of operating system and stack, nothing shared. KVM 2 — 2 vCPU cores, 8 GB RAM, 100 GB NVMe storage, 8 TB bandwidth — is the balanced tier: enough for several demanding sites, a SaaS prototype, bots, or self-hosted tools, on AMD EPYC hardware with a choice of server locations. The honest catch: a VPS is unmanaged. Updates, security patches and backups are your job, which is why this one is for developers and the technically confident — everyone else is happier on cloud.

Agency Hosting: built for people who build websites

If you build or maintain sites for clients — a freelancer, a small agency, a developer with a portfolio of customer projects — Agency Hosting is shaped for that work: stronger resources than standard hosting, an isolated environment per site so one client's problem cannot touch another's, and per-site access so a client or collaborator sees only their own project. It removes the two classic agency headaches — shared-account risk and all-or-nothing access — in one plan.

Business email: the cheapest professionalism upgrade there is

Nothing undermines a good website faster than a contact address ending in a free email provider. Hostinger business email gives you mailboxes on your own domain — name@yourbusiness.com — with ad-free inboxes and spam protection, and it works whether or not your website is hosted at Hostinger. It is sold per mailbox, so a one-person business pays for one mailbox. If your site quote includes "and professional email", this is the line that covers it.

Reach: email marketing without the heavy platform

Reach is Hostinger's email marketing tool: build a campaign with AI assistance, send it to your list, and see the results — without learning an enterprise-grade marketing suite. This referral link is the 1,000-contact tier, a sensible size for a local business list, a small shop's customers or a creator's newsletter. It pairs naturally with the bundles below, which include Reach at 500 or 1,000 contacts alongside hosting and email.

Docker hosting and AI Agents: the newer shelves

Two newer products round out what I can refer. Docker hosting gives containerised applications a managed starting point — bring your Docker workload instead of hand-assembling a server from scratch. AI Agents puts ready-made AI assistants inside your Hostinger account — a business advisor, a legal advisor, customer-communication help and more — aimed at small teams that want practical AI help on daily tasks without hiring or building anything. Both are starter tiers: try them on a real task, keep them only if they earn their place.

The two bundles: one cart, whole stack

If you would rather buy the set than assemble it: the first-website bundle combines Premium hosting, business email and Reach at 500 contacts — everything a brand-new site needs to look established from day one. The larger-business bundle swaps in Cloud hosting and Reach at 1,000 contacts for a site that already has traffic and a list worth mailing. Bundles price the stack at one bundled rate, and the 20% referral saving applies on top in the cart.

Which plan should you actually buy?

  • "I need my first website." The first-website bundle — hosting, domain email and marketing in one purchase, nothing missing.
  • "I have a business site that is growing." Cloud Professional: reserved power, daily backups, dedicated IP, and support that answers first.
  • "I run an online shop." Start on Business web hosting if the shop is small; go straight to Cloud if you already have steady orders — checkout speed is revenue.
  • "I build sites for clients." Agency Hosting, for the isolation and per-site access.
  • "I am a developer." VPS KVM 2 for full control, Docker hosting for containers, and cloud for anything a client will cry about if it breaks.
  • "My website is fine — I just need proper email." Business email alone. Cheapest fix on this page, biggest professionalism jump.
  • "I have a list and nothing to send it with." Reach — and if you also need hosting, take a bundle instead of buying separately.

The honest catches

  • Introductory prices renew higher. Every host does this; Hostinger is no exception. The discount and the long first term are where the value is — note the renewal rate shown in the cart before you pay.
  • Prices vary by country and term. Figures here are the published US-dollar introductory rates checked in October 2026; your cart shows your exact price with the referral saving applied.
  • A VPS is unmanaged. Root access means root responsibility — updates and security are yours.
  • The 20% needs the link. The saving attaches through the referral link; if it is not visible in the cart, do not check out — reopen the page through a link here.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the 20% referral saving actually work?

Click any Hostinger link in this guide and the referral code travels with you into the cart, where the 20% saving shows before payment. Hostinger then pays me a 20% commission from their side. Your discounted price is the same whether or not the commission exists — it is never added to your bill.

Which Hostinger plan is best for a small business website?

For most, the web hosting plus business email cart — it covers the site and professional email in one purchase. If the site is already busy or runs a shop with steady orders, Cloud Professional is the better buy: reserved resources, daily backups and a dedicated IP.

Is Hostinger good for WordPress and WooCommerce?

Yes — WordPress installs in one click with managed updates, and the Business tier and above add the speed pieces a shop cares about: NVMe storage, a CDN and daily backups. This site is not WordPress, but I build client WordPress and WooCommerce sites on these plans regularly.

What is the difference between cloud hosting and a VPS?

Cloud hosting gives your site reserved resources inside a managed, panel-driven environment — Hostinger maintains the platform. A VPS gives you a whole virtual server with root access that you maintain yourself: more control and more responsibility. Non-developers should pick cloud; developers who want the machine pick the VPS.

Can I move my existing website to Hostinger?

Yes — web and cloud plans include free migration, and the Hostinger team handles the move for you. Your domain can stay where it is and simply point at the new hosting; nothing about your email or domain registration has to change unless you want it to.

What happens when the introductory term ends?

The plan renews at Hostinger's standard rate for that tier, which the cart displays before you pay. The practical approach: take the longest introductory term you are comfortable with while the referral saving applies, and set a calendar note a month before renewal to review your options.

What if I pick the wrong plan?

Hosting plans carry a 30-day money-back guarantee, and you can also upgrade tiers as you grow — moving from web hosting to cloud inside the same account is routine. Start with the plan that fits today rather than the biggest one; the ladder is designed to be climbed.

Ready when you are

Start with the plan that fits: browse Hostinger with my referral code applied and take the 20% saving at checkout. And if you would like the website itself handled too — designed, built and launched on that hosting — book a free consultation and tell me what you are planning.
