The year-one charges in detail

Publication of notice of Articles of Organization filing: Required under A.R.S. § 29-3201. No state fee where the statutory agent is in Maricopa or Pima County — the ACC publishes the notice on its own website automatically. Outside those counties the LLC must pay a newspaper of general circulation in the statutory agent's county to publish the notice; newspaper rates are set by the newspaper and are not published by the state.

Documents you need

  • Articles of Organization (Form L010) — Form L010, filed with the Arizona Corporation Commission under A.R.S. § 29-3201; one or more organizers sign and file. Filing fee $50.00 (ACC Articles of Organization instructions L010i).
  • Statutory agent (registered agent) and acceptance — Every LLC must appoint and continuously maintain a statutory agent with a valid address on the records of the Commission (A.R.S. § 29-3115); failure to do so subjects the LLC to administrative dissolution. An individual agent must be a permanent, full-time Arizona resident with a physical/street address in Arizona; an entity agent must be authorized to transact business in Arizona; an LLC cannot be its own statutory agent. The agent must accept the appointment in writing via the Statutory Agent Acceptance form M002.
  • Operating agreement — ACC instructions L010i: 'An operating agreement is not required by statute. If there is no operating agreement, then the LLC statutes will govern how the LLC conducts its affairs.' The Commission has no form for an operating agreement and operating agreements are not filed with the ACC.
  • Publication of notice of filing — A notice of the filing of the Articles of Organization is required to be published (A.R.S. § 29-3201). If the statutory agent's street address is in Maricopa or Pima County, the ACC automatically publishes the notice on its website; if the address is outside those counties, the LLC must publish notice in a newspaper in that county. Do not publish until the Commission approves the Articles for filing.

What you can do with this tool

How it works

Every figure comes from the state's own published fee schedule or statute (the page lists its official sources) and was checked on 3 November 2026. The first-year minimum is the cheapest filing channel plus the fixed mandatory charges that fall due in year one; annual report fees fall due after year one, and variable charges such as newspaper publication have no fixed amount, so both are shown separately rather than folded into the total.
