Triangle Calculator

Your inputs

Fill any 3 of the 6 fields, including at least one side. The case (SSS, SAS, ASA, AAS or SSA) is detected automatically; when SSA gives two possible triangles, both are shown.

Solve any triangle: enter any three sides or angles (at least one side) and get every side, angle, area, perimeter, heights, medians, inradius and circumradius — with a labelled diagram drawn to scale, worked steps and a degrees/radians toggle.

How to use this tool

  1. Enter Side a, Side b, Side c, Angle A (degrees, or pi/4), Angle B, Angle C.
  2. Change a value to update the results and illustration. Check any validation message before using the output.
  3. Copy the results or download CSV. Reset restores the example values.

A worked example

Sides 3, 4, 5 give area 6 square units, perimeter 12 units and angles of about 36.87°, 53.13° and 90°. Entering angle A = 30° with sides a = 5 and b = 8 instead shows both SSA solutions, because two different triangles fit those values.

How it works

Fill any 3 of the 6 fields, including at least one side. The case (SSS, SAS, ASA, AAS or SSA) is detected automatically; when SSA gives two possible triangles, both are shown.

Frequently asked questions

How should I interpret the illustration?

It is a visual aid, not a replacement for the numeric output. Some charts compare values with different units, and those magnitudes are not directly comparable.

Can I use the result without checking the inputs?

Check units, signs, assumptions and rounding first. The tool cannot know whether the values you enter describe the real situation correctly.
