Text to PDF β€” Turn Typed or Pasted Text into a PDF guide

Turn plain text into a clean, paginated PDF: paste or type, choose the page size, font, size and margins, and download a proper document with wrapped lines and automatic page breaks.

How to use this tool

  1. Type or paste your text into the box. Blank lines start a new paragraph; everything else wraps automatically to the margins.
  2. Choose the page size (A4, Letter or A5), one of four built-in fonts, the font size, and the margin width in millimetres.
  3. Name the file and click Create PDF & download. The done message tells you how many pages your text made.

A worked example

A student drafts an essay in a notes app and needs it as a PDF for submission. Pasted in at 12 pt Times with 20 mm margins, it flows onto two clean A4 pages β€” no word processor, no export dialog, no formatting surprises.

How it works

The text is laid out with real font metrics: each paragraph is word-wrapped by measuring words with the chosen font at the chosen size, lines are placed down the page, and a new page starts whenever the next line would cross the bottom margin. The text is embedded as genuine, selectable PDF text β€” not a picture of words.

Frequently asked questions

Will the text in my PDF be selectable?

Yes. The PDF contains real embedded text in the font you chose, so readers can select, copy and search it like any born-digital document.

How are pages decided?

Lines flow down the page until the next line would pass the bottom margin, then a new page begins. The done message reports the final page count.

Can I include blank lines and paragraphs?

Yes β€” a blank line produces a blank line in the PDF, which is how you separate paragraphs. Multiple blank lines are preserved as spacing.

Which font should I choose?

Times Roman reads like a classic document, Helvetica like a clean modern one, Courier is monospaced (every character the same width β€” good for code and aligned columns), and Helvetica Bold suits short notices and statements.

Is my text uploaded or saved?

No. The PDF is built in your browser and the text exists only in the tab while it is open.
