How originals are handled

This editor never rewrites the PDF's internals. Moving or deleting an element from the original page covers its old spot with the page background colour and places an editable copy you can change freely — the same honest approach as PDF Studio.

Edit a PDF the visual way: point at anything on the page — a headline, a logo, a drawn shape — select it, and move, resize, recolour or delete it. Add text, drawings, shapes and highlights on top.

UNDERSTAND YOUR RESULTS

Edit PDF — Select, Move & Restyle Anything on the Page guide

A visual PDF editor that works the way you expect: hover anything on the page — a headline, a logo, a drawn shape, even a thin line — and it lights up ready to select. Move it, resize it, recolour it or delete it, and add your own text, drawings, shapes, highlights and images on top.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose or drop your PDF. It opens in a full-screen editor with your pages as thumbnails on the left.
  2. In Select mode, hover the page: every element under your cursor — original text blocks, images and vector shapes, large or tiny — is outlined. Click to select it, drag to move it, pull the corner handles to resize it, or use the handle above it to rotate it. The floating toolbar and the panel on the right restyle it: colours, fill, line width, opacity, font size.
  3. Use the other modes to add your own content: Text (type, then click to place), Draw (freehand vector strokes), Shapes (rectangles, ellipses, stars, clouds, arrows and more), Mark text (highlight, underline and strikethrough that snap onto the text line) and Insert (place an image where you click). Page thumbnails let you rotate, duplicate or delete pages and add blank ones.
  4. Click Download. The result is your document with every edit applied — additions as real PDF content, originals moved or removed as you arranged.

A worked example

A transport company’s letterhead needs work: the logo sits too low, a stray line crosses the page, and the title needs to shrink. The owner hovers the logo until it lights up, drags it into place, clicks the stray line and deletes it, selects the title text and reduces it — then downloads a corrected letterhead, all without the original design software.

What you can do with this tool

How it works

When a file opens, the editor reads the page the way a PDF is actually built — its text runs, its embedded images and its vector drawing instructions — and assembles them into selectable elements in your browser. Nothing about the original page is rewritten in place: moving or deleting an original element covers its old spot with the surrounding page background colour and works on an editable copy (the extracted image, the text re-set as a text object, the shape redrawn as a vector path). Everything you add is drawn as genuine PDF content — text as selectable text, shapes and strokes as vector paths — and page operations copy pages without re-rendering them, so untouched content keeps its exact quality.

Frequently asked questions

Can I really edit text that is already in the PDF?

Yes — select the text block and drag it, restyle it, or double-click to retype it. Behind the scenes the editor covers the original wording and places an editable copy in the closest matching standard font, which is the honest version of what every browser-based editor does; the downloaded file then contains your edited text as real, selectable text.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The editor, the element detection and the final file all run in your browser — the document never leaves your device.

What can I select?

Text blocks, embedded images, and vector shapes the page was drawn with — filled areas like header bands, outlines, thin rules and small marks included. Hovering highlights the smallest element under your cursor, so a tiny shape sitting on a big one is still grabbable.

How do I delete something from the original PDF?

Click it in Select mode and press Delete (or the trash button). Its spot is covered with the surrounding background colour. Undo (Ctrl+Z) restores it at any point before you download.

Will what I add be real content or a picture?

Real content: typed text is embedded as text, shapes and pen strokes as vector paths, highlights as translucent marks snapped to the text. Nothing is flattened into a screenshot of the page.

Can I move things after placing them?

Yes — everything you add stays a live object: select it any time to move, resize, rotate, recolour, duplicate or delete it. That includes text: double-click it to change the wording.
